I would like to introduce the newest class of National Honors Society. The National Honor Society (NHS) is a prestigious organization for high school students who demonstrate excellence in Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character.
A huge thanks to the current NHS officers for their amazing induction ceremony. Those students are Jaycee Maples, Destiny Hagan, and Addison Coates.
The NHS newest members include, Marion Roberts, Payton Castoe, Paiton Merida, Hailey Smardo, Timothy Standbury, & Samantha Bickerstaff. Congratulations to our prestigious Vikings!
High School Veteran's Day program was a huge success!!! Huge Thank you to Arma American Legion Post 182 for their guidance and wonderful service. Special thanks to our amazing Drum-line! They were amazing! And another shout to the 3 JH students that did wonderful with two musical numbers! 30 of Mrs. Yantis American History students did a veteran presentation that made us all proud!
And last but certainly not least, THANK YOU VETERANS!!

We couldn't forget the teachers on this one! Teachers were put into a drawing if they were able to get 90% or more of their students and their parent/guardians to conference! The incentive winner and NOVEMBER TEACHER OF THE MONTH is Mr. Ron Almandinger! Way to go Vikings!
At the High School, we had an incentive for students to attend Parent/ Teacher Conferences with their parent/guardian and present IPS! Students could win one of three Owala Water Bottles, a JBL Bluetooth speaker, or an IPad!
Our winners were so excited for their participation and prizes...even if their faces don't really show it! Go Vikings!!!
Northeast National Honor Society and KAY Club volunteered at CATO Day on November 6. This event is held every year for 4th/5th graders so that they can learn the history of Cato and explore and experience the life of early settlers in Crawford County.

Junior High BOYS basketball will not practice today, Friday November 7th. Please plan accordingly. Girls are still scheduled as normal. GO VIKINGS!
Fall Buffer Week will be in effect for all high school athletics the week of November 10th through 16th. The first day of basketball practice will be Monday, November 17th at 11:00 am.
Northeast High School will host their home Scholars Bowl Meet on Thursday, November 13th at 4:00 pm! Eleven teams will be competing.
Mrs Strong, and students, Jaycee Maples and Ava Ruddick were invited to a formal dinner by Leah Gagnon with the Inspiring Health Foundation. Leah has supported our school immensely through inspiring women conferences. Jaycee and Ava spoke about inspiring women and how it affected them with their involvement with HOSA and the Health Care field.
An incredible opportunity for these young ladies and their Health Care world just got larger with these amazing connections! So proud of these students and their amazing teacher leadership!
Attention 8th grade parents: On this coming Tuesday 8th grade students who begin their day at the high school will begin their day at the junior high instead. This is due to the Veterans Day program we will be attending. Please plan accordingly.
Our 6th grade November Viking Virtues student of the month goes to James Russell III. James' favorite subject in school is Reading. He has a goal of one day playing football in the NFL. Congratulations James. We are proud of you! Go Vikings!
We are proud to announce that our 7th grade Viking Virtues student of the month for November is Ezriah Thompson. Ezriah's favorite subject in school is Math. At this point he is still unsure of what he wants to do when he grows up. Congrats Ezriah! Go Vikings!

Thanks to everyone who participated in our Junior High 50/50 fundraiser for our student council. Our lucky winners were Scott Stanlick and Corin Wilde. Our student winner (selling 32 tickets!) was Saidey Phillips. GO VIKINGS

This is intended for parents who were not in attendance at our community open forums. If you have issues with technology and cannot fill out the survey. There are survey resources available at Arma City Library, Mulberry City Hall, and Arcadia City Hall. Please have these filled out and submitted by this Friday, November 7th.
