This young lady right here deserves so much credit and respect! Brooklyn Jackson tore her labrum during basketball over a year ago. She had surgery in September and was unable to play volleyball or basketball due to the recovery time it took for her labrum to heal. As a freshman she medaled at the State Track & Field Meet in the discus. This year after six months of recovery and rehab, she found herself back at the State Track & Field Meet qualifying and competing in the shot put and discus! Brooklyn threw 35'0.25 in the shot put and missed finals by one place. We know that in a year from now that she will be tough to beat at the State Track & Field Meet! We're so very proud of you, Brooklyn!

Tayven Willard found himself on the podium today in the Class 2A Long Jump by placing sixth place at the State Track & Field Championships! Tayven also broke the school record that was held by Jeremy Sullins since 2009. The school record was 21'2" and Tayven jumped 21'3.25"'! Way to go, Tayven!

Brooklyn Jackson and Tayven Willard both will compete at the State Track & Field Meet this weekend at Cessna Stadium in Wichita, Kansas.
Brooklyn-Shot Put-Friday at 8:00 am;
Discus-Saturday at 9:45 am.
Tayven-Long Jump-Friday at 8:00 am; Triple Jump-Friday at 11:30 am.
