The Administration of USD 246 can advise that an incident occurred at the Northeast Elementary School on Thursday, December 9. 2021, involving an inappropriate conversation among students.
The incident is still being investigated by the District Administration and the appropriate authorities. The matter is being handled by the appropriate parties according to District policies and applicable law.
In that the matter involves disciplinary actions of various individuals involved, which shall remain confidential as required by law, the District will make no further statements about this.
The Board of Education has been fully informed about the incident. No member of the Board of Education, Administration, faculty, or staff is authorized to make any comment on behalf of the District.
The Board, Administration, faculty, and staff take the safety and security of our students seriously and will do all we can to ensure every student has a safe learning environment at USD 246.
