The Viking Baseball Team will open up play with a double header at Pleasanton on Monday, March 28th for a 4:30 pm start. Due to Pleasanton not having a softball team this year, the Lady Vikings will not begin play until Thursday, March 31st at St. Paul.
Congress did not approve the USDA free lunch program for schools that we have had the past two years. For the 2022-2023 school year we will return to the pre-pandemic program for food service of full pay, reduced price, and free lunches. The form will need to be filled out at the time of enrollment. The March meeting of the USD 246 Board of Education will be Monday, March 7, 2022. The meeting will be in the high school band room and will start at 6:00 p.m. The public is invited.
On Friday, February 25th, the CDC lifted the mandate that students and drivers on all school transportation (buses, vans, and cars) must wear masks. So students and drivers in USD 246 will no longer be required to wear masks on school transportation.
The schools of USD 246 will be closed Thursday, February 23, 2022, due to road conditions and weather coming in.
